In this guide, we explain how to allow candidates to edit their applications during the recruitment process and withdraw themselves from the process, if needed.
Go to “Status updates” section in “Company settings” and make sure that the following checkboxes are checked as indicated in the picture below:
- “Send automatic "we received your application" message”
- “Allow applicants to edit their applications”.
After switching on these two features, all candidates will get an automatic email confirming successful submission of their application. This email will contain a link that will enable them to edit the application.
The application edit link is valid for 10 days. If a candidate wants to edit their application after the link has expired they can request an automatic link and it will be sent to their email address.
The link takes candidates to the same application form that they originally submitted. The candidate can edit their application or withdraw from the recruitment process. Editing is possible as long as the application does not have the outcome. After the outcome is defined, the candidate is advised to contact the organization as illustrated below.
