When you decide not to continue the recruitment process with a candidate, you must reject them and send them feedback. In TalentAdore, feedback messages refer to the rejection messages.
You can prepare and send individual feedback messages in the “Feedback” tab of the “Candidate” view.
If you have done the evaluation on the right side of the candidate view, an AI-assisted personal feedback message is generated in the message area.
By default, the first paragraph of this message consists of a description of skills that were required for this job. After that the candidate will get positive and constructive feedback according to your evaluation.
With the "Regenerate feedback" button, you get more variations of the same content. All the old generations will be saved and you can access them through the "Previous feedback" button.
You can always edit the AI-generated feedback letter if you wish. When you are happy with the letter, click “Save for later” if you want to send the letter later individually or in bulk, or “Send feedback and reject” if you are ready to send the feedback straight away.
In case there are problems with the feedback message, you can try to “Recalibrate feedback” or “Report bad feedback” message to our support. Read more about the calibration process here.
You can also use a feedback template, if you don’t want to send a personalized feedback message. All the feedback templates are managed by your organization’s admin users and you can read more about them here.
We highly recommend you to give personal feedback to the candidates. It creates a better candidate experience and makes you really stand out as an organization.
Rejecting in bulk
In case you need to reject multiple candidates at the same time, you can do it from the “Applications” page. Choose the candidates you are going to reject and click “Reject”.
There are three different options for rejection:
- “Send already generated feedback” - When you have saved a personal feedback letter for later (as described above), this is where you can send it to several candidates at the same time. Every candidate will get their own AI-generated feedback letter, but it will be sent at the same time.
- “Send rejection letter” - You can use an existing feedback template and send the feedback letter to multiple candidates at the same time.
- “Reject applications” - This action only marks candidates as “Rejected” but no feedback message will be sent. If you only reject, remember to send the feedback later on.
When a candidate has been rejected and a feedback message has been sent, a green check mark will appear next to the outcome. It means that the candidate has been handled.
In case there are candidates in the system who have been rejected but haven’t received the feedback, they are visible on the “Home” page under “Unsent feedback” tab. This way you can make sure that no candidate is left without feedback and great candidate experience is provided.
