Usually, status update templates are defined by the system or admin users in “Settings” >“Status updates”, but this feature enables you to create custom status update messages for a specific position. Go to “Positions” view, choose the relevant position and click at “Custom messages”.
By default, every collaborator who is added to the position and has editing rights (hiring managers, recruiters, admin users) can create and edit “Custom messages”.
Select which message you want to edit from the “Status” drop-down. Rewrite the “Subject” if necessary. There are two options:
- Add additional text to the provided template.
- Write the whole message by yourself.
Remember that “you can use placeholders” to make the messages more personal. In case you write the whole message by yourself, don't forget to add the placeholder for your signature:[SIGNATURE]. Click outside of the text area to update the preview and see how the message will look like.
After you are done, click Save and start editing a new message!
